Our Long Stroke PDP guide rod system will take your PDP 4.5" to the next level.  We went back to the drawig board and designed a new system that increases the slide stroke of the PDP to attenuate the recoil over a longer distance.  By eliminating the plastic spacer, the slide can travel futher rearward which allows it more distance to slow and softens the impulse as the slide hits its rearward stop.  The rod is 5/16" diameter and uses a custom ISMI 14lb spring.  We swiss turn the rod from stainless steel and the front cap/bushing from brass for added lubricity.  Captured design drops right in the gun.  Adding over 40 grams of unsprung mass to the gun helps further reduce muzzle rise.

  • Will NOT work in 4" PDP or 5" PPQ, ONLY 4.5" slide length PDP
  • MUST remove the plastic spacer in the slide

NOTE: Springs, washers and end caps are wear items and are not warrantied. Spring life varies based on use and ammunition

    Must-buy upgrade

I got this for my 5.1 inch pro model that I use for USPSA CO. Previously I was using the ZR standard length captured 15 pound spring. Compared to that, the long stroke system is a very noticeable improvement. It feels much less snappy, and I’m able to shoot faster. I was honestly really impressed with how much better the gun feels now. It’s been 100% reliable as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to reduce recoil and shoot faster compared to ZR’s standard length recoil assemblies.

    Flat-N-Smooth

I compared this side-by-side with my ZRTS heavy guide rod and uncaptured 15 lb spring setup in my PDP Pro SD Full Size, and it is ever so slightly different. It is a bit smoother and flatter and makes for really fun shooting. I can shoot very tight grips with both, but this has the slightest edge over the other, and on top of that it's much easier to deal with than the uncaptured for cleaning. No ammo malfunctions whatsoever. There's a typo in the specs - this guide rod weighs 50g on my digital scale. For comparison, the ZRTS PDP heavy guide rod, 15lb spring, washer, and PDP spacer weighs 32g.
