The Ultimate Guide to Choosing an Optic Plate for your Walther PDP
When it comes to mounting your Trijicon RMR or SRO, finding the right optic plate can make all the difference. In this article, we’ll break down the key factors to consider when selecting an optic plate, so you can make an informed decision.
Material
One of the most important factors to consider when choosing an optic plate is the material. The two most common materials used for optic plates are aluminum and steel. Aluminum is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant option that’s easy to work with. Steel, on the other hand, is stronger and more durable, but it’s also heavier which contributes to recoil.
Compatibility
It’s crucial to make sure that the optic plate you choose is compatible with your specific firearm. Some optic plates are designed to fit specific models, while others are designed to be more universal. Make sure you check the product specifications before making a purchase to ensure that the plate you choose will fit your firearm. Our plates ONLY fit Gen 2 PDP (see images in gallery)
Durability
The durability of the optic plate is also an important factor to consider. Make sure you choose a plate that’s made from high-quality materials and that has a solid construction. This will ensure that your plate lasts for a long time and doesn’t break or become damaged easily. Our plates are made from 2024 Ultra strength aluminum then hard anodized.
Conclusion
When it comes to choosing an optic plate for your Walther PDP, there are several key factors to consider. From the material and compatibility to the mounting options and price, it’s important to make an informed decision. By taking the time to research and choose the right optic plate, you can ensure that your Optic is securely mounted and ready to perform.
